Coping, tile and waterfalls are the material used on the beam, creating the structure and beauty to the waterline. Coping is unusually flagstone, travertine, or brick. Coping can be installed in three patterns, rectangle, shattered or combination. Tile is usually a 6 inch square - we use a dark grout style to keep the "bathtub ring" look from forming in your pool. Waterfall stones are varied and discussed in detail prior to installing, insuring the look you are trying to achieve.
This phase of construction should not be started until after 7 days of watering the Gunite. If not, the Gunite will suck the moisture out of the flagstone and tile mortar. Within two to three years the tile and coping will start to fall off, due to week mortar.
