STEP 1: Size, Shape and Location
Determining the right size, shape, and location for your pool is the most difficult process on any new construction.
These three factors will by-and-large dictate the price of your new pool or spa. Here's a few tips on figuring out what's right for you:
- Size: The size of the pool will be dictated first by the size of your yard. For instance, if a diving board is desired, you'll need a minimum 36' pool length.
After you've taken the dimensions of your yard, estimate how much you expect to use the pool and how much you'd like to spend. The bigger the pool, the higher the price.
- Shape: The three basic shapes are a curved pool, a straight line pool or a combination of both.
- Location: The location may be dictated by how close you want your pool to the house, backyard slope,
easements and pool decking desired. If you want your pool far from the house, expect a cost increase.
This is due to the additional decking you'll need between the pool and your house house, and the extra electrical, plumbing and gas requirements.
STEP 2: The Finer Points
Once size, shape, and location are determined (we'll even draw it to scale in your yard), the finer points of your pool will be determined.
For example, we will finalize coping, tile, plaster, decking etc.
STEP 3: Pricing
After all aspects of your pool are determined, a final price can quoted. The quoted price is always the final price to the homeowner (unless upgrades are made during construction).
